Star Wars: The Force Awakens Official Teaser #2

I'm more excited than I should be. This awakens the 10 year old within me, the one whose life forever changed the moment the Star Destroyer flew over Tatooine chasing the Tantive IV. Star Wars has forever dominated my path. Seeing that this is in Imax, I intend to see it at the Pacific Science Center come December.

Harrison Ford on Jimmy Kimmel

I don't watch network TV much anymore, so missed this. Thank goodness for the YouTube. Enjoy your mind-growth moment of the day.

Today's Star Wars Items

Interesting that today brought me not one, but two Star Wars items. I came across David Brin's collections of essays putting Star Wars...well, George Lucas...on trial.&nbsp Star Wars On Trial . I feel some weakening of my geek-cred since I've never even heard of this collection. My friends over at Geekwire posted this piece about the upcoming Kinect Star Wars game. This will certainly be an affront to the Star Wars faithful. Perhaps if you liked Jar-Jar, you'll be ok with this. I'd never considered the controversy around Star Wars. Ok, I've heard the debates about the prequels, and then the whole Shatner incident . Maybe you have. Let me know. Otherwise, just another weird, drippy day here in the great Puget Sound basin.

Millennium Falcon Coffee Table?

The folks over at Galatic Binder posted this awesome little table. Quite the piece of work, methinks. Were I a wealthier man, this would be on my "must have" list. It looks like it's made of bronze, so I'd hate to need to move the thing.

Star Wars Exhibit

We went to the Pacific Science Center's member's preview for their Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination production. As a (nearly) life-long Star Wars fan, it was a delight to be part of. Many other geeks my age were there; I'm pretty sure there were more adults than kids. The official show starts today, and I expect the attendance to be more balanced.

Star Wars - Episode IV - Trailer (original 1977)

My, how the style of the franchise has changed.
